The Stompin’ Tom Centre to host a Festival Series featuring
top East Coast talent, June – September, in Skinners Pond, PEI

(Skinners Pond, PE) – The Stompin’ Tom Centre is excited to announce its nine-date 2019 Festival Series in Skinners Pond, Prince Edward Island from Saturday, June 8 to Saturday, September 28.
The summer series will host ‘up close and personal’ concerts by some of the region’s best talent from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. followed by local entertainment until midnight each night.
The line-up is as follows:
Saturday, June 8: Matt Minglewood followed by Kim Albert & Faces
Saturday, June 22: Jimmy Flynn followed by Jamie Matthews and Daniel Drouin
Saturday, June 28: Songwriters’ Circle, featuring Meaghan Blanchard, Peggy Clinton, Blair Gaudet and Rodney Arsenault
Saturday, July 13: Ellis Family followed by Ivan Daigle & Dirt County Confederates
Saturday, July 27: Joel Plaskett followed by The Next Generation
Saturday, August 10: Meaghan Blanchard followed by Doyle Band
Saturday, August 24: JP Cormier followed by Gordie McKeaman & Rhythm Boys
Saturday, September 14: Lennie Gallant followed by Billy MacInnis & Band
Saturday, September 28: Clements Family followed by Small Town Jokurs
Each concert will offer a Taste of PEI menu, including PEI craft beer on tap.

The Festival Series is general admission for all ages and doors open at 6 p.m. each evening.

The Stompin’ Tom Centre opened in 2017 to commemorate one of Canada’s most prolific song writers of all time. Well-known for his love of Canada and the songs that resonate such as Sudbury Saturday Night, Bud the Spud and the Hockey Song. The centre is a popular attraction bringing many new visitors to Western PEI and fast becoming famous for their dinner theatres featuring songs and stories of Stompin’ Tom and the chef prepared meals featuring PEI product. The centre has already received a service excellence award and strive to make everyone experience one to remember.

Stompin’ Tom Connors devoted his life to singing about the people and places that make Canada great. His homegrown music, distinctive black hat and boots, foot stomping stage antics and brash patriotism paved the way for him to become an iconic Canadian folk music artist.
His music that reaches back to his boyhood roots in Skinner’s Pond, Prince Edward Island, still resonates across the country and tugs at the heartstrings. To map this musical man’s journey and pay tribute to his work, fans can step inside the recently built Stompin’ Tom Centre and his restored boyhood school in Skinner’s Pond.
Tom finally found a place to hang up his iconic hat and boots, as well as other memorabilia for permanent display at the superb facility, which also houses authentic products, services and experiences.
The facility is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting June 1 and wrapping up on September 30, with the exception of the Stompin’ Grounds entertainment space, which stays open to cater for the dinner theatres and live entertainment.
