Believe In Your Country: Stompin’ Tom’s Dream for Canadians
Dinner Theatre written by Erin Dunn-Keefe
Every Tuesday and Thursday in July and August
It’s the summer of 1999, and backstage in Tignish, Stompin’ Tom is getting ready to put on a show for his hometown crowd. Some local boys are in charge of taking care of Tom, and no one is more excited than Luke and his daughter Katie, two huge Stompin’ Tom fans. All is going well with Tom telling lots of stories and singing some songs to get ready. That is, until. Luke’s know-it-all sister, Jane, comes home from the States with her all-American son, Jimmy, and the clash of cultures begins with Stompin’ Tom as the referee. With Stompin’ Tom on hand to explain what it means to believe in your country, will Jane and Jimmy finally understand why Canadians love being…Canadian? Don’t miss this summer’s show; a tribute to Tom and a love song for Canada.
A beautifully prepared 3-course meal is served by the cast in the traditional PEI dinner theatre style. Tues features stuffed chicken breast entree, Thurs stuffed pork loin. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options are available. Please make note when booking or reach out to directly 902-882-3214 to ensure your specific dietary concerns are noted!
